Delete in the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- Open the Garage Hero app and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the bottom tab bar.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation screen, then confirm. Your account is deleted right away.
This cannot be undone. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, job history, messages, and photos. If you sign up again later, you start fresh.
Request by email
If you can't sign in, have already removed the app, or would rather we handle it, email us and we'll do it for you.
Send a deletion request
Email us from the address on your account so we can verify it's you, with the subject line "Delete my account." Include the phone number on the account if you have it handy.
privacy@garageheroapp.comWe confirm receipt within one business day and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner. If we can't verify that the request came from the account holder, we'll ask you for one more piece of information before proceeding — we won't delete an account on an unverified request.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and password
- Your profile photo and any saved addresses
- Photos you uploaded of your garage or individual items
- Garage measurements and scan results
- Messages and bids exchanged with Heroes or customers
- Your push notification token, so notifications stop immediately
- For Heroes: your business name, bio, experience details, and service area
What we have to keep
A small amount of information survives deletion, either because the law requires it or because removing it would erase someone else's record. In every case it is de-identified — it is no longer linked to your name or contact details.

Card details are held by Stripe, not by us — see the Stripe Privacy Policy for their retention rules. Full detail on all of this is in our Privacy Policy.
Before you delete
- Finish or cancel open jobs. You can't delete an account with a cleanout in progress. Complete it, or cancel it, first.
- Settle anything owed. Deleting your account doesn't cancel payment for work already done.
- Save your receipts. Download anything you need for taxes or records — job history goes with the account.
- Just want fewer emails? You don't have to delete anything. Turn off notifications in your device settings, or reply STOP to any text. Email support@garageheroapp.com and we'll help you dial it back.
Deleting your Garage Hero account does not cancel anything with Apple. To remove the app itself, delete it from your home screen as usual.
