Why Garage Hero
Built to waste less of your day.
Most home-service platforms sell you leads and let you fight over them. We don't do that.
You never pay for a lead
Browsing jobs is free. Accepting one is free. We take a service fee out of completed jobs only — if you don't work, you don't pay us anything.
No estimates, no haggling
The customer has already seen a price range and expects to pay it. You confirm the final number on arrival and get on with the work.
You see it before you commit
Photos, garage size, and the customer's notes are all on the job card. No surprise hoarder houses, no wasted drives.
Work around your real life
There is no shift to sign up for and no minimum. Take three jobs a week or three a month — nobody is tracking your acceptance rate.
Getting paid isn't your job
The customer pays in the app when the work is done. No invoicing, no chasing checks, no awkward conversations on a driveway.
Your rating is yours
Do good work and it compounds. Higher-rated Heroes get seen first when new jobs open in their area.
How pay works
Straightforward, and visible upfront.
The price is set before you accept
Every job card shows what the work pays. You decide with the number in front of you.
You confirm it on arrival
If the garage doesn't match the photos, you adjust the price with the customer before starting — or walk away.
Payment clears after completion
Mark the job complete, the customer pays in the app, and your earnings are transferred to you. No invoicing.
| Garage size | Junk removal | Full cleanout | Cleanout + organize |

These are job values, not take-home pay. Garage Hero retains a service fee from completed jobs, and you cover your own fuel, disposal costs, and taxes. Disposal surcharges for items like tires and appliances are added to the customer's bill with their approval, not taken out of your earnings.

What you need to get started.
You don't need a company, a website, or years in the business. You need a way to haul things and a track record of showing up.

Hero questions
The things people actually ask.
No. Heroes are independent contractors. You choose which jobs to take and how to do them, you use your own vehicle and equipment, and no tax is withheld on your behalf. That also means Garage Hero doesn't provide you with workers' compensation, liability, or vehicle insurance — you'll want your own.
That depends on your city and county — hauling and disposal rules vary. You're responsible for holding whatever licenses your jurisdiction requires. We strongly recommend general liability insurance and commercial auto coverage even where they aren't mandatory; you're working in people's homes.
Licensed transfer stations, landfills, recycling centers, and donation centers — whichever fits the load. You choose the facility and cover the tipping fee, then pass qualifying disposal surcharges to the customer with their approval. Illegal dumping gets you removed from the platform permanently.
Adjust the price with the customer before you start, and only begin once they approve it. If it's beyond what you can safely handle, or there's hazardous material, you can decline the job on site at no penalty. Report it in the app so we can flag the listing.
Yes, and for most full cleanouts you'll want one. Anyone you bring is your responsibility — you're accountable for their conduct and their safety on the job, and for anything you owe them.
We're not going to quote you a weekly figure — it depends entirely on how many jobs you take, their size, and your costs. What we can tell you is exactly what each job pays before you accept it, which is more than most platforms will do. The table above shows typical job values by garage size.
